RESOLUTION NO. 168-1985
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY comns-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO
EXECUTE AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING
STORM/HURRICANE SHUTTERS FOR INSTALLATION ON
THE B BUILDING OF THE GLYNN ARCHER SCHOOL
LOCATED IN KEY WEST, FLORIDA, AND THE PLANTA-
TION ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LOCATED IN PLANTATION
KEY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and Chairman of the Board
of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby
authorized to execute an Interlocal Agreement by and between the
Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, and the
School Board of Monroe County, Florida, a copy of same being
attached hereto, for the purpose of providing storm/hurricane
shutters for installation on B Building of the Glynn Archer
School located in Key West, Florida, and the Plantation Elementa-
ry School located in Plantation Key, Monroe County, Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 24th day of May, A.D. 1985.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
This Interlocal Agreement made and entered into this
day of
, A. D. 1985, by and between the BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, a political
subdivision of the State of Florida, hereinafter called "County",
and the SCHOOL BOARD OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, a body corporate
and politic existing under the laws of the State of Florida,
hereinafter called the "Board", and
WHEREAS, the Plantation Elementary School and Glynn Archer
School have been designated as shelters during periods of disas-
ter such as hurricanes, and
WHEREAS, the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of
Monroe County require that said shelters be reasonably protected,
now, therefore,
IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants, promises and
representation herein, the parties hereto agree as follows:
WITNESSETH:
1. The County shall provide storm/hurricane shutters for
installation on the B Building of the Glynn Archer School located

in Key West, Monroe County, Florida, and the Plantation Elementa-
ry School located in Plantation Key, Monroe County, Florida, to
assure the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Monroe
County, Florida:, when said schools are being used as shelters
during periods of disaster such as hurricanes.
2. The Board agrees to maintain said shutters and will
have same secured each and every time that a hurricane/disaster
is imminent.
3. Upon installation, said shutters will become and remain
the property of the Board.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, has caused these presents to be signed in
its name by its Chairman, and the Clerk of the BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, and the SCHOOL BOARD OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, has caused these presents to be signed in
its name by the Chairman of the Board and attested to by the
Superintendent, executed by their official thereunto duly au-
thorized.
