RESOLUTION NO.244 -1985
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD TO EXECUTE AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BY
AND BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF MONROE AND THE CITY
OF KEY COLONY BEACH, CONCERNING THE NEW
OPTIONAL FIFTH AND SIXTH CENT GAS TAX.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and Chairman of the Board
is hereby authorized to execute an Inter10ca1 Agreement by and
between the County of Monroe and the City of Key Colony Beach, a
copy of the same attached hereto, concerning the new optional
fifth and sixth cent gas tax.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 16th day of August, A.D. 1985.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Ordinance No.
-1985, established a formula for
the distribution between the incorporated municipalities of the
four cent local option gas tax; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to extend the previously agreed to
formula to distribute the new optional fifth and sixth cent gas
tax;

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the authority granted in F.S.
163.01 andF.S. 336.025, it is hereby mutually agreed between the
County of Monroe and the City of Key Colony Beach that the
percentage distribution of the optional fifth and sixth cent gas
tax shall be as follows:

Nothing in this inter10ca1 agreement shall be construed to
require the County of Monroe to extend the optional fifth and
sixth cent gas tax beyond the time limit stated in the Ordinance
adopting the same.
This inter local agreement shall take effect when an executed
copy thereof is filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Monroe
County, Florida.
