RESOLUTION NO. 260-1985
A RESOLUTION TO THE LEGISLATURE, GOVERNOR AND
CABINET OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO DESIGNATE
SPECIFICALLY A TIME CERTAIN AND CONDITIONS
FOR HAND-CRAWFISH, DIVING IN ALL FLORIDA
WATERS.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and County Commission of Monroe County,
have deemed that the process of hand fishing for crawfish diving
is a method ordinarily not used in this kind of fishing and is
unsportsmanlike unless completely regulated, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and County Commission of Monroe County,
have concluded that a special season, duly regulated and timed is
the only proper means and way to permit and allow crawfish hand
diving,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMIS-
SION OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. The Legislature, the Governor and Cabinet promote and
have enacted special Legislation concerning crawfish hand diving
in all Florida waters around Monroe County.
2. Such a season when this type of hand fishing is permitted
will be strictly regulated both as to the time whereby the same
can be accomplished.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board, held
on this ~ day of September, A.D. 1985.
