RESOLUTION NO. 284 -1985
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A NINETY (90) DAY
DELAY COMMENCING ON DECEMBER 1, 1985, TO
CONCLUDE THE REVIEW OF THE PROSPECTIVE LAND
USE PLAN FOR MONROE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the County Commission deems that it is impossible
to conclude the review of the prospective Land Use Plan on or
before December 1, 1985, and
WHEREAS, the County Commission deems that it is necessary
and there is a need for further public hearings, input and study
to be made of the various elements of the proposed Land Use Plan,
and comments by the Department of Community Affairs, and
WHEREAS, it is considered by the County Commission that for
such plan to be faithfully and properly composed, that additional
time is utterly necessary to accomplish the same, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMISSION OF MONROE
COUNTY as follows:
1. That the Department of Community Affairs of the State
of Florida be and is hereby requested to grant to said County an
additional ninety (90) days commencing on December 1, 1985, for
further review, study and public hearings on the proposed Land
Use Plan for Monroe County.
2. That accompanying this resolution are the comments made
in memorandum form by the Growth Management Team of Monroe County
reflecting and showing their comments on said Plan and the status
of the same at the present time, together with the time schedule
and proposed doings of the County Commission, which will go until
the 1st of February, 1985, as planned by the County Commission
based upon this extension request.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 4th day of October, A.D. 1985.
