Resolution 037-1984 RESOLUTION NO. 037-1984 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CALLING OF A REFERENDUM IN KEY WEST, FLORIDA, AND KEY COLONY BEACH, FLORIDA, TO DETERMINE IF KEY WEST AND KEY COLONY BEACH SHALL INDIVIDUALLY AND SEPARATELY VOTE IN REFERENDUM WHETHER OR NOT THEY WILL BECOME PART OF THE TRANSLATOR DISTRICT CREATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 5-1982. WHEREAS, On January 6, 1984, the City of Key West requested that a referendum be called in Key West under the provisions of Ordinance No. 5-1982 to determine whether or not the City of Key West shall become a part of the Special District known as the Translator District, and WHEREAS, the City of Key Colony Beach has requested that a referendum be called in Key Colony Beach under the provisions of Ordinance No. 5-1982 to determine whether or not the City of Key Colony Beach shall become a part of the Special District known as the Translator District, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMISSION OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: 1. A Special Referendum is hereby called as of March 13, 1984 for the purpose of determining whether or not citizens of Key West and Key Colony Beach, individually and separately, desire to become a part of the existing Translator District under the terms of Ordinance No. 5-1982. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of Januarv , A.D. 1984.
