RESOLUTION NO. 207 -1984
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO EXECUTE THE INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AND THE CITY OF KEY COLONY BEACH FOR
THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING CERTAIN ROADS AND
PAVING A BIKE PATH IN THE CITY OF KEY COLONY
BEACH.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Mayor and Chairman of the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to
execute Inter10ca1 Agreement by and between Monroe County,
Florida, and the City of Key Colony Beach, a copy of same being
attached hereto, for the purpose of improving certain roads and
paving a bike path in the City of Key Colony Beach.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 27th day of July, A.D. 1984.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
This Inter10ca1 Agreement is entered into by and between
Monroe County, Florida and the City of Key Colony Beach, a
municipal corporation under the laws of Florida on this
day of
, A.D. 1984.
This agreement is being entered into as an Inter10cal
Agreement between the County of Monroe and the City of Key Colony
Beach, and they shall be respectfully referred to herein as the
"County" and the "City". The purpose and cause for this Inter-
local Agreement is to provide for an understanding of each party
as to the joint effort they will make in improving the roads in
Key Colony Beach and the paving of a bike path in said City.
That this Inter10ca1 Agreement is in accord with the agreement
entered into formerly between the County and the City dated ~arch
23, 1984, and will clearly outline the responsibilities of the
two parties in the various undertakings that are set forth
herein. Based on the foregoing, the County and the City agrees
as follows:
1. That the City is a duly recognized municipality formed
and located in the State of Florida, and that the County is a
duly constituted County under the constitution and laws of the
State of Florida, and as such both parties are legally authorized
to enter into this agreement.
2. That the parties do hereby recognize the need for the
paving of Sadowski Causeway and East Ocean Drive, and that the
same has been reviewed by the various representatives of both the
County and the City, and that said work thereon will be conducted
by the County and the costs thereof defrayed by Monroe County.
3. That construction, if any, needed on the causeway
between Station 24 + 50 to Station 36 + 50 and any drainage along
East Ocean Drive shall be borne by the City.
4. That the City will undertake and accomplish the building
of a bike path in Key Colony Beach and will be responsible for
the payment thereof together with any other improvements not
recognized by this Inter10ca1 Agreement.
5 . That the plans for the improvements to the aforesaid
causeway and East Ocean Drive that will be done by the County are
reflected in plans drawn and prepared by Post, Buckley, Schuh and
Jernigan, and both parties hereto verify that they have been
afforded copies of said plans.
6. That this Interloca1 Agreement becomes effective upon
execution and shall continue to such time as the improvements set
f~rth herein are completed.

7. This -agreement may be executed in counterparts or in
exact replicas of the original, and if so, the same shall be
considered as if it were the original document.
8. That this agreement represents the full and complete
understanding between the County and the City for which each of
the two parties do agree to abide and complete.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF we hereto affix our hands and seal in the
official execution of said Interloca1 Agreement.
