RESOLUTION NO. 294_1984
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE EXISTING CONTRACT
BETWEEN MONROE COUNTY AND NEWMAN, BLITZ,
McCONNELL, INC.
WHEREAS, Monroe County and Newman, Blitz and McConnell,
Inc., presently have a contract for advertising and public
relations services, and
WHEREAS, the firm of Newman, Blitz and McConnell, Inc. has
again been selected by Monroe County to perform such services for
the ensuing twenty-four (24) month period, and
WHEREAS, Monroe County at its last regular meeting extended
the present existing contract with Newman, Blitz and McConnell,
Inc., until October 21, 1984, and
WHEREAS, additional research and analysis is being under-
taken with regard to the expenditures for public relations, which
studies will require a certain amount of time to complete, and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Tourist Development Council has
requested an extension of the presently existing contract until
November 30, 1984, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the presently existing agreement between Monroe County
and Newman, Blitz and McConnell, Inc. for advertising and public
relations services be, and the same is hereby, extended until
November 30, 1984 while a new contract is finalized and executed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 19th day of October, A.D. 1984.
