A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE
~OARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO APPROVE AND EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT FOR ALCOHOLISM REHA~ILITATION
PROGRAM SERVICES ~Y AND ~ETWEEN THE MONROE
ALCOHOLISM REHA~ILITATION CENTER AND THE
~OARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA.

MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Mayor and Chairman of the ~oard of County Commis-
sioners of Monroe County, Florida, be and is hereby authorized to
approve and execute an Agreement for alcoholism rehabilitation
program services by and between the Monroe Alcoholism Rehabilita-
tion Center and the ~oard of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, a copy of which is attached hereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the ~oard of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said ~oard held
on the l4th day of December, A.D. 1984.

~mEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, and the MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER desire to
enter into an agreement wherein the Board of County Commissioners
contracts for services from said Center in rendering an alcoholism
rehabilitation program to the citizens of Monroe County, Florida,
and
WHEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, is vested and charged with certain duties and responsibil-
ities relating to alcoholism rehabilitation of the citizens of
Monroe County, and
~ffiEREAS, such services have been invaluable to the citizens of
Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, it is prope~ and fitting to enter into an agreement
for services to be rendered in the forthcoming year 1984-85; now,
therefore,
THIS AGREEMENT, made between the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, and the MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION
CENTER, each in consideration of the premises, agree as follows:
The said BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
in consideration of said MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER sub-
stantially and satisfactorily performing and carrying out part of the
duties and obligations of the Board as to alcoholism rehabilitation
for the citizens of Monroe County, Florida, agree to pay to the said
MONROE COUNTY ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER the sum of Fifty-one
Thousand Four Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($51,415.00). This figure
will be paid monthly commencing October 1, 1984, and terminating
September 30, 1985, as hereinafter set forth.
And the said MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER, for the
consideration named, covenants and agrees with the BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, to substantially and satis-
factorily perform and carry out part of the duties of the said Board
in rendering an alcoholism rehabilitation program to the citizens
of Monroe County, Florida.

In further consideration of said financial remuneration, the
said MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER agrees to provide a
clear financial audit trail to allow for full accountability of
funds received from said Board. Certified monthly financial and
service load reports will be made available to the BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, to validate the delivery
of services under this contract. The monthly financial report is
due in the office of the Clerk of the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, no later than the 15th day of the fol-
lowing month. After the Clerk of the Board pre-audits the certified
report, the Board will reimburse said MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILI-
TATION CENTER for its monthly expenses. However, the total of said
monthly payments in the aggregate sum shall not exceed the total
amount of $51,415.00 during the term of this contract.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, ~he BOARD OF COUNTY CO~lISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, has caused these presents to be signed in its name
by its Chairman, Board of County Commissioners, and the Clerk of
the Board of County Commissioners and the MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILI-
TATION CENTER has caused these presents to be signed in its name by
its Director and President of the Board, all as of the
