RESOLUTION NO. 112-1981
RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION
WHEREAS, Monroe County is in need of nursing homes through-
out the Florida Keys, and
'~EREAS, various agencies throughout Monroe County and the
State of Florida reviewed the said needs and made certain deter-
minations, and
WHEREAS, said action was in the best interest of the citizens
of Monroe County, Florida, and was a result of many individuals
efforts with particular effort and assistance being provided by
Senator Bob McKnight and Mr. Gary Clark, Director of the Division
of Health Planning, Department of Health & Rehabilitative Services,
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows,
1. That the Board does hereby wish to recognize the
special effort expended by Senator Bob McKnight and Mr. Bary
Clark in resolving the issuance of the two nursing home certifi-
cates for construction of nursing homes both in the Marathon and
Upper Keys areas, whose efforts contributed greatly to the final
resolution and issuance of the certificates.
2. That the Board does hereby Publicly commend said
individuals for their assistance and dedication and expresses its
deepest gratitude.
3. That the Clerk of said Board is hereby directed to
forward a certified copy of this resolution to Senator Bob
McKnight and Mr. Gary Clark, Division of Health Planning, Depart-
ment of Health & Rehabilitative Services, 1317 Winewood Boulevard,
Ta11hassee, Florida 32301.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 7th day of April, 1981.
