ORDINANCE NO. 12 -1975
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND ENABLING THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO
APPROPRIATE FUNDS OUT OF THE GENERAL REVENUE FUND
OF THE MONROE COUNTY BUDGET FOR THE MONROE COUNTY
COUNCIL ON THE AGING, INC., A FLORIDA NON-PROFIT
CORPORATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING A NUTRI-
TION PROGRAM FOR THE AGED; LIMITING THE PURPOSE
FOR WHICH SAID FUNDS MAY BE USED BY SAID CORPORA-
TION; DECLARING THE OPERATION OF SAID NUTRITION
PROGRAM TO BE A COUNTY, WELFARE, AND PUBLIC PUR-
POSE; REPEALING ALL SPECIAL LAWS, ORDINANCES, AND
RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; AND
PROVIDING AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1.
The Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, may appropriate funds out of its General Revenue
Fund of the Monroe County Budget to the Monroe County Council on
the Aging, Inc., a Florida non-profit corporation for the purpose
of operating its nutrition program for the aged.
Section 2.
Any funds appropriated hereunder shall be
expended by said Monroe County Council on the Aging, Inc., a Florida
non-profit corporation, for the payment of expenses of the nutri-
tion program for the aged and approved by the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida.
Section 3.
The operation of said nutrition program and
the funds expended therefor are hereby decreed to be a County,
welfare and public purpose.
Section 4.
All Special Laws, Ordinances, Resolutions,
rules and regulations in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of said conflict.
Section 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect upon receipt
of the official acknowledgment from the Department of State acknow-
ledging receipt of certified copy of this Ordinance and that said
Ordinance has been filed in said office.
