Ordinance 003-1981ORDINANCE NO. 3 -1981
AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA; REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 15-19795,
TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE
DESIGNATION OF MAYOR OR MAYOR PRO-TEM;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF OR-
DINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Ordinance No., 15-1979 is hereby repealed
and Special Act 65-1931, Laws of Florida, is hereby adopted
and placed in full force and effect such that the member
of the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, elected as Chairman of said Board shall be known
as Mayor of Monroe County, Florida, and the member of said
Board appointed as Vice -Chairman of said Board shall be
known as the Mayor Pro-Tem of said County, when acting in
the absence of the Chairman of said Board.
Section 2.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the
extent of said conflict.
Section 3.
The provisions of this ordinance shall be
included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the
County of Monroe, Florida, as an addition or amendment there-
to, and shall be appropriately renumbered to conform to the
uniform numbering system of the Code.
Section 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon
receipt of the official acknowledgment from the Department
of State acknowledging receipt of certified copy of this
ordinance and that said ordinance has been filed in said
office.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN that on
Tuesday, March 10, 1981, at 10:00 A.M. at Courtroom "B"
Monroe County Courthouse Annex, Key West, Monroe County,
Florida, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, intends to consider the adoption of the following
County Ordinance:
