Spehar _-2005 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FIJORIDA, SUPPORTING THE CONCEPT OF A TEN~Yl':AR PLAN TO END nOMELESSNESS. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the County Commission forr",ionroe County recognizes that the condition ofhomelessness has an impact upon aU sectors ofthe community, and acknowledges that eftecHve strategies to address namelessness should be sought in a coordinated manner; and WHEREAS, the County Commission desires to collaborate the Southernmost Homeless Assistance League, the Cities of Key West, Marathon, Layton, Key Colony Beach and Islamorada, business associations, faith communities and social service providers to develop a T en- Year Plan to End Homelessness; and WHEREAS, the City of Key West has signed a covenant agreement with the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness to take a lead role in the development of a local Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessnegs~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY C01V1MISSIONERS OF M01\!'ROE CODNtY AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the concept of developing and implementing a Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness, subject: to the availability of resources, is hereby supported. 2. This Resolution shalt become eftective upon the date of its adoption herein.
