RESOLUTION NO. 449 -1989
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR/CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT TO AMEND A CONTRACT BETWEEN FRANK
KEEVAN & SON, INC. AND THE BOARD CONCERNING
PROJECTS AT BOW CHANNEL, CUDJOE KEY AND TAVERNIER
OCEAN SHORES, KEY LARGO.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor/Chairman of the Board is
hereby authorized to execute an agreement to amend a contract
between Frank Keevan & Son, Inc. and the Board, a copy of same
being attached hereto and made a part hereof, concerning projects
at Bow Channel, Cudjoe Key and Tavernier Ocean Shores, Key Largo.

EXTENSION AGREEMENT, dated this
day of

1989, between Frank Keevan and Son, Inc. ("Contractor"), and
the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida
("Boat-d") .
RECITALS
A. On 22 November, 1988, the Contractor and the Board agreed
in writing for the installation of daymarkers at Bow
Channel, Cudjoe K~y (Resolution No. 621-1988) and at
:;'~~~er Ocean Shores, Key Largo (Resolution No.
623-1988), Florida.
B..Epch agreement recited in paragraph 3 that if Notice to
Broceed had not been given by the Board to the Contractor
Qn or before 28 February 1989 the agreement should be null
and IJoid.
C. During February, 1989, the Contractor and the Board orally
agreed that the deadline for the giving of the Notice to
Proceed should be extended to 7 July 1989.
D. The County, not being able to provide Notice to Proceed by
7 July, has agreed with the Contractor that the deadline
for giving Notice should be extended to 31 August 1989.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual convenants
herein expressed it is agreed that:
1. The agreements are extended to permit giving of the Notice
to Proceed on or before 31 August 1989.
2. In all other respects, the agreements remain in full force
and effect.
3. The effective date of this extension is 28 February 1989.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this
agreement on the day and year first written above.
