RESOLUTION NO.
383-1989
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING SOLID WASTE
RECYCLING AND WASTE TIRE GRANTS FROM THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATION AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS IN
FURTHERANCE THEREOF.
WHEREAS,
by
Resolution
197-1989, the Board of County
Commissioners of
Monroe
County,
Florida,
authorized
the
submission of grant applications to the Florida Department of
Environmental Regulation for solid waste recycling and waste tire
grants, and
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation
has awarded Monroe County a Solid Waste Recycling grant in the
amount of $140,172
and a Waste Tire grant in the amount of
$3,770 and,
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation has
issued contracts RE 89-42
and WT 89-33 as part of the grant
awards, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA: that the said grants are hereby accepted and the
Mayor is authorized to execute the said contracts.
