Trust Fund
Dear Mr. Willi:
I would like to request that the Commission authorize the following expenditures
from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund:
$ 25,000.00 TAKE STOCK IN CHILDREN - These funds will be used to establish
a matching challenge grant as part of a fundraising activity to be used at
100% to purchase Florida Prepaid scholarships for qualified economically
disadvantaged students in Monroe County Schools.
$ 3,000.00 TOYS FOR TOTS - These funds will be used to provide Christmas toys
for the needy families in Momoe County.
TOTAL: $ 28.000.00
I hereby certify that these expenditures are lawful pursuant to the Florida
Contraband Act. There will be no recurring expenses in the existing budget.

On behalf of -the Monroe County Education Foundations Take Stock In. Children Program,
we would like to request 625,000 in funding. The funding we are requesting will be used to
establish a matching chall enge grant as part of our fundraising activities; matching individual
donors oontrihutions, wit h all contributed monies matched again at 100'.10 by the Florida
Prepaid College Foundati >115 Project ST AU. These funds will be used at 100010 to purchase

Once again it is that time of the year for our annual "Toys for Tots"
program. This fear, like all other years, the Monroe COWlty Sheriff's
OffiCH has form ed a partnership with the Salvation Anny to provide
"Chri:stmas" fot needy families and children in. Monroe County.
As you knovr, Hurricane Wilma caused a lot of damage here in the
Florid.a Keys ar d we are sure our need for toys will be as big, if not
bigge1' than it ru LS been in the past.

thousand dollar:; per sector for a total of three thousand dollars. We
