Board of County Commissioners
Thursday, July 11, 2002
Marathon, Florida
A Special Meeting of the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners convened at
10:00 A.M., on the above date at the Marathon Government Center. Present and answering to
roll call were Commissioner Humberto 'Bert" Jimenez, Commissioner Murray Nelson,
Commissioner George Neugent, Commissioner Dixie Spehar, and Mayor Charles "Sonny"
McCoy. Also present were Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk; James Roberts, County Administrator;
County Staff, members of the press and radio; and the general public.
All stood for the Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS, DELETIONS
Motion was made by Commissioner Neugent and seconded by Commissioner Nelson
granting approval of the Agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR
County Administrator James Roberts gave a presentation to the Board concerning an
overview and budget message for the proposed Fiscal Year 2003 Budget.
Motion was made by Commissioner Spehar and seconded by Commissioner Neugent
granting approval to change the time of the July 19th and July 24th Board of Commissioners
Budget Meetings to begin at 9:00 a.m. instead of 10:00 am. Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned.
