Key West, Florida
A Workshop of the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners convened at 10:00
A.M., at the Harvey Government Center. Present and answering to roll call were Commissioner
Sylvia Murphy, Commissioner George R. Neugent, Commissioner Dixie M. Spehar and Mayor
Mario DiGennaro. Absent was Commissioner Charles "Sonny" McCoy. Also present at the
meeting were Thomas Willi, County Administrator; Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk; County Staff,
members of the press and radio; and the general public
Tom Willi, County Administrator and Sal Zappulla, Division Director - Office of
Management and Budget gave a presentation and requested direction on policy issues regarding
the Fiscal Year 2008 budget process.
Myra Wittenberg, Manager - City of Key West Transportation Department gave a
presentation of the Lower Keys Shuttle Bus Service, a partnership of Monroe County, City of
Marathon and City of Key West, Florida.
Tom Willi, County Administrator and Sal Zappulla, Division Director - Office of
Management and Budget discussed pending Bills before the State Legislature with possible
impacts on Monroe County's budget, and estimated effects of the proposals.
Sal Zappulla, Division Director - Office of Management and Budget discussed fund
balances.
There being no further business, the meeting of the Board of County Commissioners was
adjourned.
