BOARD OF COUNTY COMKISSIONERS

Board of County Commissioners
Tuesday, July 13, 1999
Key West, Florida
A Special Meeting of the Monroe County Board of County
Commissioners convened at 9:00 A.M., on the above date, at the
Harvey Government Center at Historic Truman School. Present and
answering to roll call were Commissioner shirley Freeman,
Commissioner George Neugent, Commissioner Mary Kay Reich, and
Mayor Wilhelmina Harvey. Absent was commissioner Nora Williams.
Also present were Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk; James T. Hendrick,
County Attorney; James Roberts, County Administrator; County
Staff, members of the press and radio; and the general public.
All stood for the Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.

PRESENTATION, OVERVIEW, AND BUDGET
MESSAGE FOR THE PROPOSED FISCAL
YEAR 2000 BUDGET
County Administrator James Roberts made a preliminary
presentation to the Board of the proposed Fiscal Year 1999-2000
Budget. Mr. Roberts indicated that the budget is available at
all of the Monroe County Public libraries and is also available
on the Internet.
Mr. Roberts informed the Board that Commissioner
Williams was not present today because she was in Washington,
D.C. with Congressman Peter Deutsch concerning wastewater funding
for the Florida Keys.
Motion was made by Commissioner Freeman and seconded by
Commissioner Neugent approving the extension of the July 23, 1999
Board of county Commission budget meeting through July 26, 1999,
beginning at 10:00 A.M. Motion carried unanimously.

commissioner Neugent informed the Board that there will
be a presentation at the July 22, 1999 Board meeting by Mr. Ken
Kreines, AICP, President of Kreines & Kreines, Inc., concerning
wireless communications.

Board, the meeting was adjourned.
