Key West, Florida
A Regular Meeting of the Monroe County Industrial Development Authority convened at
9:00 AM., on the above date at the Harvey Government Center at Historic Truman School.
Present and answering to roll call were Commissioner Charles "Sonny" McCoy, Commissioner
Murray Nelson, Commissioner Dixie Spehar, Commissioner Nora Williams, and Mayor George
Neugent Also present were James Roberts, County Administrator; James T. Hendrick, County
Attorney; Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk; Isabel C. DeSantis, Deputy Clerk; County Staff, members of
the press and radio; and the general public.
INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
Attorney Steve Miller of the firm Nabors, Giblin & Nickerson briefly explained to the
Board the purpose of an Industrial Development Authority and updated the Board on the status
of the Key West Brewery, Inc., Revenue Bonds, Series 1999A
Motion was made by Commissioner Williams and seconded by Commissioner Spehar
appointing Commissioner McCoy as Chairman of the Industrial Development Authority. Motion
carried unanimously.
Commissioner Williams appointed Mayor Neugent as Secretary to the Industrial
Development Authority.
Commissioner Williams appointed Commissioner Spehar as Vice-Chairman to the
Industrial Development Authority.
Motion was made by Commissioner Williams and seconded by Commissioner Nelson to
adopt the following Resolution appointing a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary and
Commissioners of the Monroe County Industrial Development Authority; Providing an effective
date. Motion carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION NO. 001-2001
Said Resolution is incorporated herein by reference.
There being no further business to come before the Authority, the meeting was adjourned.
