08/31/1992 SpecialI MINUTES OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 92/270 Special Meeting Board of County Commissioners Monday, August 31, 1992 Key West A Special Meeting of the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners convened at 2:00 p.m. on the above date in the Chapel at the Public Service Building on Stock Island in Key West. This Special Meeting was called to earmark additional funds for the Hurricane Andrew Disaster Relief Recovery Effort and any additional items considered necessary regarding post - hurricane activities. Present and answering to roll call were Commissioner Earl Cheal, Commissioner Douglas Jones, Commissioner Jack London, Commissioner John Stormont, and Mayor Wilhelmina Harvey. Also present were Danny Kolhage, Clerk; Randy Ludacer, County Attorney; Tom Brown, County Administrator; County Staff; members of the Press and Radio; and the general public. Motion was made by Commissioner Jones and seconded by Commissioner London to adopt the following Resolution concerning the transfer of funds. Roll call vote was unanimous. RESOLUTION NO. 419-1992 See Res. Book No. 110 which is incorporated herein by reference. Motion was made by Commissioner London and seconded by Commissioner Jones to adopt the following Resolutions concerning the receipt of unanticipated funds. Roll call vote was unanimous. RESOLUTION NO. 420-1992 RESOLUTION NO. 421-1992 See Res. Book No. 110 which is incorporated herein by reference. 92/271 Motion was made by Commissioner Jones and seconded by Commissioner Cheal to waive purchasing policies and procedures in the purchase of emergency items needed for the Hurricane Andrew Recovery effort. Roll call vote was unanimous. County Administrator Brown discussed the meeting on Friday with Admiral Gee concerning communications with governmental agencies. County Attorney Ludacer discussed litigation concerning election delay action. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
