Board of County Commissioners
Thursday, May 9, 1996
Key West, Florida
A Special Meeting of the Monroe County Board of County
Commissioners convened at 9 a.m., on the above date, at the stock
Island Chapel. Present and answering to roll call were
Commissioners Keith Douglass, Wilhelmina Harvey, Mary Kay Reich
and Mayor Shirley Freeman. Commissioner Jack London was absent
from the meeting. Also present were Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk;
Ralf Brookes, Assistant County Attorney; James Roberts, County
Administrator; County Staff, members of the Press and Radio; and
the general public.
All stood for the Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion was made by Commissioner Douglass and seconded
by Commissioner Harvey appointing Commissioner Reich as the
Delegate to the NACO Convention in Houston. Motion carried
unanimously.
Mayor Freeman then appointed Commissioner Harvey as the
1st alternate and Commissioner Douglass as the 2nd alternate at
the NACO Convention in Houston.
Growth Management Director, Bob Herman, and Vested
Rights Hearing Officer, Randy Sadtler, Esq., addressed the Board.
Motion was made by Commissioner London and seconded by
Commissioner Reich granting approval of the recommendations of
the Vested Rights Hearing Officer for the following applicants:
