Marathon, Florida
A Closed Executive Session of the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners
convened on the above date at 10:00 A.M., at the Marathon Library, 3251 Overseas Highway.
Present and answering to roll call were Commissioner Murray E. Nelson, Commissioner George
R. Neugent, Commissioner David P. Rice, and Mayor Dixie M. Spehar. Absent was
Commissioner Charles "Sonny" McCoy. Also present were Isabel C. DeSantis, Deputy Clerk;
Richard Collins, County Attorney; Pedro Mercado, Assistant County Attorney; Thomas Willi,
County Administrator; County Staff, members of the press and radio; and the general public.
All stood for the Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.

ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS, DELETIONS
There were no Additions, Corrections, and Deletions made to the Agenda.

CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Spehar announced that pursuant to Florida Statute, today's session was closed to
the public.
Closed Executive Session of the Board of County Commissioners in the matter Collins, et
al. v. Monroe County v. State of Florida.
Closed Executive Session of the Board ,of County Commissioners in the matter of Galleon
Bay v. Monroe County v. State of Florida.
In attendance were County Administrator Tom Willi; County Attorney Richard Collins;
Assistant County Attorney Pedro Mercado; outside counsels - Bob Frelich, Derick Howard, and
Steve Moore. A certified court reporter was also present.
There being no further business, the above session of the Board of County Commissioners
was adjourned.
