Company Press Release
Urecoats Industries Receives Miami-Dade County Approval
POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 200I--Urecoats Industries Inc. (OTCBB:UREC _ news), a
developer, marketer and distributor of sealant and coating products partially made from recycled material, announced
today that it received Metro-Dade County Product Control Approval in the Roofing Category and Waterproofing Sub-
Category for its URECOATS looTM Waterproofing Membrane.
"This approval represents a major milestone for Urecoats, having met the strict testing requirements of Miami-Dade
County,''' stated Larry T. Clemons. "Urecoats' flagship RUBBER SEALANT MEMBRANE (RSM)TM, URECOATS
100TM product, has undergone extensive in-house tests, as well as tests by independent testing agencies. Miami-Dade has
the most stringent requirements for building and construction due to damage caused by hurricanes."
Due to the devastation to Miami-Dade County from Hurricane Andrew in 1992, the county's new roofing codes and
protocols are generally considered to be the toughest in the United States.
"'The URECOATS IOOTM product, based upon extensive testing on its adhesion strength, appears to be a superior product
in comparison to other roofing products in the industry," said Bob Tedder, President of Independent Roof Testing and
Consulting of South Florida, Inc. "The URECOA TS 100TM product has great potential for use in several scenarios."
"Typically, for a new roofing product, the process takes at least two years, sometimes as long as three years," said Shirad
Ali, General Manager of Independent Roof Testing. "This is a lengthy process because of the fact that Miami-Dade
County has very rigorous testing protocol for roofing products. Urecoats went through the process smoothly because the
product met all the requirements of the Miami-Dade test protocol."
"Urecoats has begun generating revenue with the establishment of our roofing operations in South Florida. We are
applying our URECOA TS 100TM product along with conventional roofing. Our goal is to implement strategies that
enhance shareholder value and our focus is on our sealant, coating and roofing operations. We have leased an additional
10,000 square feet for this purpose," said Richard 1. Kurtz, Chairman of the Board and CEO ofUrecoats Industries. "We
are using our roofing operation to gain initial market acceptance of our URECOA TS looTM product and for all new
products under development. Dr. Gary M. Zeller, an active Board member and Consultant to the Company, has been
working diligently on expanding our manufacturing operations to handle our increasing production needs for the
URECOA TS IOOTM product and spray application system."

Company Press Release
Urecoats Exceeds EPA Drinking Water Standards
POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 8, 2001--Urecoats Industries Inc. (OTCBB:UREC _
news), a developer, marketer and distributor of sealant and coating products that incorporate recycled material
in their composition, announced today that the Company's flagship RUBBER SEALANT
MEMBRANE(RSM)(TM), URECOA TS IOO(TM) product, has passed EP A 1311 TCLP Extraction Procedures.
This is a significant milestone in the Company's ongoing commitment to find cross-over industry applications
for its RSM(TM) product formulations.
"This testing was conducted by Law Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. and Severn Trent
Laboratories, Inc., two leading Florida environmental material testing companies. The objective of the testing
was to evaluate if URECOA TS 100(TM) leaches specified pollutants regulated under the Environmental
Protection Agency (EP A) Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Florida Department of
Environmental Protection (FDEP) hazardous waste programs," stated Gary M. Zeller, Ph.D., an environmental
scientist for Urecoats Industries. "With the forthcoming Florida Everglades Restoration Program, protective
liners and sealants are required for a variety of infrastructural purposes. The EP A's leachate procedure requires
a battery of tests, which we have now met and exceeded."
To evaluate the toxicity of the material the Toxicity Characteristic Leachate Procedure (TCLP) is performed
and the results compared to established regulatory standards for various pollutants. The TCLP is designed to
determine the mobility of both organic and inorganic analytes present in a material when exposed to a mildly
acidic rinsate (similar to "acid rain"). EPA has established this procedure as a gauge of the material's potential
to leach hazardous or regulated pollutants and consequently, its toxicity to the environment. Based on the
Report of Waste Characterization Testing, detected concentrations were below the EPA primary drinking water
standards, which have been adopted by the FDEP for groundwater monitoring and waste clean-up.
"Personally, I feel this is our most critical test to date!" stated Larry T. Clemons, President and COO of
Urecoats Industries. "To be able to work on landfill liners, waste containment cells, seawalls, docks, oil
platforms, ports, harbors, ships, etc., and know that our RUBBER SEALANT MEMBRANE(RSM)(TM) will
not release contaminants that could harm Marine Life or the Everglades is what this Company is all about.
Infrastructure support, with an ECO philosophy, that's Urecoats Industries."
