DCA and Monroe County, DOAH 06-2449 at a future date, time and location to be determined by the BOCC. ITEM BACKGROUND: The Florida Keys Citizens Coalition and Last Stand have challenged DCA's approval of fiv(~ (5) Monroe County ordinances which implement the Tier system. The case is scheduled to be heard on February 6-9, 2007. A closed session is being requested in the event there are issues to be discussed prior to going to final hearing or if a proposed settlement agreement is reached in the interim. Per F.S. 286.011(8), the subject matter of the meeting shall be confined to settlement negotiations or strategy sessions related to litigation expenditures. Present at the meeting will be the Commissioners, County Administrator Tom Willi, County Attorney Suzanne Hutton, Chief Assistant County Attorney Bob Shillinger, and the County's special litigation counsel David Jordan, Esq., and a certified court reporter.
