SUBJECT: Monroe County Shelter Generator Project Grant Application
On February 20, 2007, Lisa King, Langton & Associates contacted this office stating that she has found a
grant from the Florida Division of Emergency Management for the amount of $195,000 with no County
match. This grant will ensure that six (6) of the County's Category 1 and 2 shelters will have back-up pow
and will enhance the county's ability to support disaster preparedness and response efforts.

Dear Mr. Fugate:
Attached is a competitive grant application from the Monroe County Board of County
Commissioners for a project that will enhance the county's ability to support disaster
preparedness and response efforts.
The Monroe County Shelter Generator Project will ensure that six of the County's
Category I and 2 shelters will have back-up power, This application is requesting
$195,000 in grant funds.
Only the entities identified in the application are involved in the proposed project. This
application is made without collusion with any other entity submitting an application and
is fair and in good faith without fraud,
