A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERs OF ~
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY AND THE MONROE
COUNTY LAND AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, on March 28, 1990, the Monroe County Board of County
Commissioners, sitting as the Land Authority, did approve an
Interlocal Agreement between the Authority and the County for the
payment of rent, utilities, and other charges, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
the said Interlocal Agreement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held

THIS INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT made and entered into this
day
of
, 1.990, by and between the COUNTY OF MONROE, STATE
OF FLORIDA, a political subdivision of the State of
Florida,
hereinafter
referred
to
as "County, " and MONROE COUNTY LAND
AUTHORITY, organized and existing under the Laws of the State of
Florida, hereinafter referred to as "Authority," and the Clerk of the
Circuit Court and ex officio Clerk for the Board
of
County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as
"Clerk," and
WHEREAS, the County, the Authority and the Clerk are authorized
to enter into this Agreement by Florida Statutes, as amended, which
"
permits a public agency of the State of Florida to exercise jointly
with any other public agency of the State, any power, privilege or
authority, which such agencies share in common and which each might
f
exerclse separately,
NOW,
THEREFORE,
in consideration of the mutual covenants,
premises and representations herein, the parties agree as follows:
1. The purpose of this Agreement is to provide office space and
services for the Land Authority of Monroe County, Florida.
2. The County agrees as follows:
A. Monroe County, Florida, will provide the office space
currently occupied by the Land Authority in Wing III 'of the Public
Service Building on Stock Island at_ the cost ~f TWELVE ($12,00)
DOLLARS per square feet a year for the period of ONE'(l) year.
B. Payment for rental to Monroe County, Florida, for the
period commencing October 1, 1989, and ending September 30, 1990,
shall be tendered by the Land Authority in a lump sum on August 1,
1990.
c. All payments for other services provided to the Land
Authority by Monroe County, Florida, shall also be payable in a lump
sum on August 1, 1990.
D.
Electric
charges
will be assessed at a rate of
FORTY-FOUR ($44.00) DOLLARS per month, water will be assessed at
THREE
($3.50) DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS per month, and garbage
collection at ONE ($1.60) DOLLAR AND ,SIXTY CENTS per month.
E. Land Authority will be privileged to use the drafting
department of the County for whatever needs are required.
3. The Land Authority agrees as follows:
n.. The Land Authority will reimburse Monroe County at
FIFTY ($50.00)

per
County
telephone
extension
for
installation, and TWELVE ($12.00) DOLLARS per month for each County
telephone extension installed. The Land Authority will install a
separate, private telephone line for long distance calls.
B.
The
Land
Authority will reimburse Monroe County,
Florida, for computer services at a rate proportional to the number
of devices installed on the IBM System 36 divided into the total Data
Processing budget required to operate the computer system, excluding
Contractual Services.
Therefore, the rate will be $187,000.00
divided by 122 devices, which required $1,533.00 yearly for each
device installed, or $128.00 monthly for each d~ice attached to the
system.
C. The Land Authority will be responsible for purchasing
computer hardware and codtracting far special software necessary to
keep Land Authority hardware operational.
D. Document copying services will be provided by Monroe
County at the same rate billed to other County departments.
E. The Land Authority agrees to reimburse Monroe County
TWENTY ($20.00) DOLLARS per month for cleaning services based upon
THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-NINE (389) square feets.
