RESOLUTION NO. 333 -1990
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PERMIT FEE
SCHEDULE TO BE CHARGED FOR ALL TYPES OF
CONSTRUCTION OR CONSTRUCTION RELATED WORK
REQUIRING A PERMIT FROM MONROE COUNTY INCLUD-
ING INSPECTIONS AND PERMIT TRANSFERS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1.
Pursuant to Sec. 6-16.1, Sec. 6-41, and Sec.
5-23, Monroe County Code, the following building permit fees are
hereby established:
(a) Revised Building Permit Fees:
1. Minimum fee.................. $35.00
2. Buildings (including balconies,
additions, garages, enclosures
and accessory buildings):
For each 100 square feet of
enclosed area or fractional
part thereof................. 20.00
Minimum fee ................. 35.00
3. Structures other than Buildings
(unless specifically priced
herein) :
For each $1000.00 of cost or
fractional part thereof.......32.00
4. State Approved Modular Homes:
Basic Building Foundation (up to
and including tie-beams).....275.00
For all "add-ons" as well as
electrical, plumbing and
mechanical permit fees, refer
to applicable sections
herein. Minimum fees shall
apply to electrical and
plumbing permits. Mechanical
fees shall relate to A/C.
5. Sewer Treatment Plants:
Physical Plant (with lift

e) Reinspection fees.
When extra inspection trips are necessary due
to anyone of the following reasons, a charge
of twenty-five ($25.00) dollars shall be made
for each trip:
(1) Wrong address.
(2) Condemned work resulting from
faulty construction.
(3) Repairs or corrections not made
when inspection is called.
(4) Work not ready for inspection when
called.
The payment of reinspection fees shall be
made before any further inspections will be
made for the person owing same.
f) Miscellaneous fees.
(1) Transfer of a building permit
upon change of ownership.....200.00
(2) Plan Review, single family
residential or remodeling.....25.00
(3) Plan Review, commercial.......50.00
g) Blaster fees.
(1) Payment of a fee in an amount not
to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00)
per month or six hundred dollars
($600.00) per year for a user
permit and one hundred dollars
($100.00) per year for a blaster
permit.
h) Fee for work done without a
permit and as otherwise
