A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING PLANNING COMMISSION
DEVELOPMENT ORDER NO. 18-90 GRANTING THE
MAJOR CONDITIONAL USE FOR CERTAIN LANDS ON
KEY LARGO, PLANTATION, LONG KEY, MARATHON,
BIG PINE, AND SUGARLOAF KEY, MONROE COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Monroe County Planning Commission

ment Order No. 18-90 granted a major conditional use

six communication towers for properties located on the' following
sites:
Site 1 - a parcel of land lying within the NW 1/4 of section 23,
township 61S, range 39E, Key Largo, Monroe County, Florida, ap-
proximately MM 102.5, at the entrance of John Pennekamp Park.
The land use designation is sparsely settled (SS);
Site 2 - property located on a parcel of land being all of lots
1 through 6, inclusive of block 4 of Key Heights, section 2,
according to the plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 3, at
page 159 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida, and
together with a portion of lot 12 of Randal Adam's Subdivision,
according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 1, at page
110 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida, and together
with a portion of Government lot 3 of section 8, township 63S,
range 38E, as shown on George I. MacDonald's Plat of the Public
Records of Monroe County, Florida, Plantation Key, approximately
MM 88.5. The land use designation is suburban commercial (SC).
Site 3 - property located on a tract of land lying in section 33,
township 64S, range 35E, and in section 4, township 65S, range
35E, on Long Key, Monroe County, Florida, approximately MM 68.
The land use designation is park and refuge district (PR).
Site 4 property located on part of lot 1, section 9, township
66S, range 32E, Key Vaca, Monroe County, Florida, approximately
MM 48.5. The land use designation is mixed use (MU).
Site 5 property located on a portion of the NE 1/4 of the NW
1/4 of the NW 1/4 of section 26, township 66S, range 29E, Monroe
County, Florida, lying southwesterly of the existing 66 foot
right-of-way of State Road S-940 (Old State Road 4-A), 1/2 mile
north of U.S. 1, on Big Pine Key, containing 9.7 acres, more or
less Monroe County, Florida, approximately MM 30. The land use
district is suburban commercial (SC).
Site 6 property located next to Sugar loaf Elementary School,
on a certain parcel of land lying in the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of
section 36, township 66S , range 27E, on the intersection of U.S.
1 and Crane Blvd., Sugar loaf Key, Monroe County, Florida approxi-
mately MM 19. The land use district is suburban commercial (SC).
WHEREAS, according to Sec. 9.5-69(e), Monroe County Code, the
development order has been placed on the Consent Agenda of this
Board; and
WHEREAS, no person has appealed the Planning Commission
Devlopment Order No. 18-90 to this Board and no member of this
Board desires to remove the Development Order from the Consent
Agenda; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUN-
TY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. Planning Commission Development Order No.
18-90, including all the terms, conditions, and requirements con-
tained therein, is hereby affirmed.
Section 2.
The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to
forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Department of
Community Affairs.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board held on
the 20th day of August, A.D., 1990.
