RESOLUTION SETTING DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR
A PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED ABANDONMENT OF
A PORTION OF A FIFTY FOOT (50') PRIVATE ROAD
ON VALHALLA ISLAND, MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, desires to hold a public hearing concerning the proposed
abandonment of the hereinafter described streets, alley-ways,
roads or highways, and
WHEREAS, under Chapter 336, Florida Statutes, it is neces-
sary to hold a public hearing after publishing due notice of said
hearing in accordance with said Chapter, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 18, 1990, at the
Elks Club, Tavernier, Monroe County, Florida, said Board will
hold a public hearing to determine whether or not said Board will
renounce and disclaim any right of the County and the public in
and to the following described streets, alley-ways, roads or
highways:
a portion of a fifty foot (50') Private Road on
Valhalla Island, Monroe County, Florida, and being more
particularly described as follows:
Begin at the Northeast corner of Lot 46, "AMENDED PLAT
OF VALHALLA ISLAND", according to the Plat thereof, as
recorded in Plat Book 7 at page 38 of the Public
Records of Monroe County, Florida; thence S 88011'00"W
along the Southerly Right-of-Way Line of a fifty (50)
foot Private Road and along the Northerly lines of Lots
44, 45, and 46 for 245.61 feet, to a Point of Curva-
ture, of a curve concave to the Southeast; thence along
the said curve in a Westerly and southwesterly
direction having for its elements a radius of 25.00
feet and a central angle of 70013'53" for 30.64 feet to
a point whose radius bears S 80002'55"E thence S
90058' 49"W along the Westerly line of Lot 44 for 7.24
feet; thence S 84034' 55"W along the Northerly line of
Lot 12 for 40.00 feet; thence N 10029' OO"E along the
Westerly Right-of-Way of the said fifty (50) foot
Private Road for 100.00 feet; thence N 8001l'03"E along
the Northerly line of a fifty (50) foot Private road
and the Southerly line of Lots 10 and 11 for 40.00 feet
to a Point of Curvature of a curve concave to the
Northeast, whose radius bears N 76044'39"E; thence
along the said curve in a Southeasterly and Easterly
direction, having for its elements a radius of 25.00
feet and a central angle of 86033'20" for 37.77 feet to
a Point of Tangency; thence N 80011'OO"E along the said
Northerly Right-of-Way line of a fifty (50) foot
Private Road and along the Southerly lines of Lots 8,
9, and 10 for 238.01 feet; thence S l7049'45"W for
56.44 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing
19,478 square feet, more or less.
2. That the Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized to
publish notice of said meeting in accordance with the provisions
of Chapter 336, Florida Statutes.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
