BEACH ROAD THAT IS SITUATE IN MATECUMBE
BEACH, MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA AND BELONGS TO
THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION OF THE STATE
OF FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, conveyed to the State Road
Department of Florida on March 8, 1966, in OR 369 at Page 225, a
section of Beach Road and Catherine Street lying Northweaster1y
of and continguous to Block 1 and Block 4 in Matecumbe Beach,
Plat Book 1 at Page 133; and
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, now requests that the
Department of Transportation of the State of Florida deed back
certain right-of-way land to this County; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Department of Transportation of
the State of Florida be and it is hereby requested to quit claim
the road described in the attached "Exhibit A" to Monroe County,
Florida.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of this
Board is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this
Resolution to the Department of Transportation of the State of
Florida for appropriate action.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the ~ day of October, A.D., 1990.

A portion of Catherine Street, "MATECUMBE BEACH", according to
the plat thereof, as recorded on Plat Book 1, at Page 133, of
the Public Records on Monroe County, Florida and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGIN at the Northeast corner of Lot 6, Block 3 of said plat of
"MATECUMBE BEACH", thence N 45 E along the Southeasterly lines
of Lots 8 thru 14, Block 4 of said plat and across Beach Road
for a total of 444.00 feet; thence S45 E along the Southwesterly
Right-of-Way line of Johnson Road for 60.00 feet; thence S45 W
along the Southeasterly line of said plat and across Beach Road
for a total of 444.00 feet; thence N45 W for 60.00 feet to the
Point of Beginning. Containing 26,640 Square Feet.
Parcel "B", Legal Description:..,
A portion of Beach Road, "MATECUMBE BEACH", according to the
plat thereof, as recorded on Plat Book 1, at Page 133, of
the Public Records on Monroe County, Florida and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGIN at the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 2 of said plat of
"MATECUMBE BEACH", thence S45 E along the Northeasterly lines of
Lots land 6, Block 2 and Lots 1 and 6, Block 3, of said plat
and across Preston Street, for a total of 695.00 feet; thence
N45 E along the Northwesterly Right-of-Way line of Catherine
Street for 60.00 feet; thence N45 Wa10ng the Northwesterly
lines of Lots 7 and 8, Block 4, Lots 7 and 8, Block 1 of said
plat and across Preston Street for a total of 695.00 feet;
thence S45 W for 60.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
