RESOLUTION NO. 649 -1990 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING CITIZENS TO SERVE AS COMMISSIONERS OF THE KEY WEST-MONROE COUNTY CITIZENS' CONSTITUTIONAL BICENTENNIAL OBSERVANCE COMMISSION FOR 1990-1992. WHEREAS, The Citizens' Constitutional Bicentennial Obser- vance Commission was created by Resolutions of the Monroe County Commission and the Key West Commission in 1986 who also appointed citizens to serve as Commissioners then and in 1988 for the purpose of conducting appropriate public educational and ceremonial programs to honor the 200th anniversary of The U. S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: 1. The Board hereby continues the Citizens' Constitutional Bicentennial Observance Commission to conduct educational and ceremonial programs to honor our Constitution and Bill of Rights by increasing public understanding and participation in shaping our Constitutional future. 2. The Citizens' Observance Commission shall abide by the Board's administrative codes governing quasi-official agencies for the period 1990-1992 when the official observance period ends. 3. The Board hereby appoints the twelve persons on the list attached to serve as Citizen Commissioners. They are the current active leaders of the Citizens' Commission. 4. In addition, the Board will seek and appoint additional persons to serve as Citizen Commissioners for this period in order to achieve county-wide participation, represented on the basis of population and by geographical areas. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 5th day of December, 1990. .
