RESOLUTION NO. 341 -2002
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY IN REC06NITION OF THE LATE CARL W.
WEEKLEY. SR.
WHEREAS, Carl W. Weekley, Sr. passed away on July 28, 2002, at the age of 93
surrounded by his family;
WHEREAS, Carl was born in Moultrie, Georgia and moved to Key West in 1945 after
his military service;
WHEREAS, Carl and his wife Ana operated Fausto's Food Palace from 1945 until his
retirement in 1992;
WHEREAS, Carl was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign
Wars, and the American Red Cross Hurricane Preparedness Committee;
WHEREAS, Carl is survived by his beloved wife Ana, three sons Carl, Jr., Jimmy,
and Alton and their families; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1: Hereby adopts this Resolution as an expression to the family of their
deepest sympathy in the passing of the late Carl W. Weekley, Sr. and in great appreciation
of the service he gave to his community.
Section 2: Forwards a copy of this Resolution to Carl's beloved family expressing
the Board I s sorrow.
