ITEM BACKGROUND: On August 16th, 2000 the Upper Keys Health Care Taxing District, Trauma Adviso'ry Board approved the purchase of one new ambulance to be used in Ocean Reef. Wheeled Coach Industries agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of Monroe County's original Purchase Order # 1973 50 issued on 5/29/98 and subsequent Purchase Order # 211772 issued on 2/17/00 for the purchase of an additional Type I. F-4S0 Ambulance at a unit cost of$100,217.00. The cost to the County will be $100,000.00 with the difference in cost to be made up by Ocean Reef. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: On 2/16/00 item #D-15, the BOCC granted approval to purchase a Type J ambulance from Wheeled Coach through the Upper Keys Health Care Taxing District for use in Islamorada, Village of Islands. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: The Trauma Advisory Board recommends approval.
