Ordinance 029-2002 • Board of County Commissioners ORDINANCE NO. 029 -2002 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING MONROE COUNTY CODE, ARTICLE I, CONCERNING COUNTY DESIGNATED REGIONAL PARKS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION INTO THE MONROE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, title to boat ramps and parks lying in the municipalities of Islamorada and Marathon has been transferred to those cities; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is no longer necessary to designate any of the remaining parks as regional parks; now, therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. Sec. 13.5-1. County designated regional parks is hereby deleted. Section 2. Sec. 13.5-4. Ultralight aircraft prohibited at certain County boat ramps is hereby amended by the deletion of subsections: (6) The 33rd Street boat ramp, Marathon (7) The Aviation Blvd. Boat ramp, Marathon (8) The MM 82.5 boat ramp, Islamorada Section 3. Sec. 13.5-5. Rules of conduct and operational procedure for certain parks is hereby amended by the deletion of subsections: (7) Coco Plum Park (8) Jesse Hobbs Park (10) Sombrero Beach Park Section 4. Sec. 13.5-5(d). Park hours is hereby amended by the deletion of: Jessie Hobbs Park. Section 5. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or provision of this ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of this ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances. in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. Section 7. The provisions of this ordinance shall be included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the County of Monroe, Florida, as an addition or amendment thereto, and shall be appropriately renumbered to conform to the uniform numbering system of the Code. Section 8. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that this ordinance has been filed with said Office.
