RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF MONROE, STATE OF
FLORIDA, AND JOANN CHRISTIE FOR PROVIDING EMT SERVICES
FOR THE BIG COPPITT AREA (DISTRICTS 1-A&B).
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute an agreement
by and between the County of Monroe, State of Florida and Joann
Christie, a copy of same being attached hereto, for providing EMT
services for the Big Coppitt Area (Districts 1-A&B).
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regularly scheduled meeting held on
the 21st day of October, 1980.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this
6th
day of
November
, 1980, by and between the COUNTY OF MONROE,
STATE OF FLORIDA, a political subdivison of the State of Florida,
hereinafter referred to as "County", and JOANN CHRISTIE, whose
mailing address is 25 Barcelona Drive, Key West, Florida 33040,
hereinafter referred to as "Contractor",
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, has been advised that an emergency exists in regards to
the providiIlg of ambulance services in the Big Cdppitt area in that
volunteer EMT participants are limited, and
WdEREAS, Joann Christie is a duly qualified EMT and has agreed
to provide SIiCh services as is necessary for all ambulance calls
withiil the Big Coppitt Key and immediate areas, and
WHEREAS, the parties hereto have agreed that Joann Christie
shall be compensated for her services, now, therefore,
IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants and promIses herein
contained, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1.
This agreement shall become effective as of October

1980, and be for a period of thirty (30) days ending November 20,
1980.
2. That Joann Christie does hereby agree to provide her
services on a 24-hour, 7-day a week basis for all ambulance calls
within the Big Coppitt and immediate area (District l-A&B).
3. That in consideration of said services, the County does
hereby agree to pay Joann Christie the sum of Thirty Dollars ($30)
per day for each day for the 30-day period.
4. That payment for said services shall be on a weekly basis
with the first payment to be made the 29th day of October, and each
and every week thereafter until November 20, 1980.
