RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
TO EXECUTE DEED TRANSFERRING PROPERTY FROM COUNTY
TO MONROE COUNTY MUNICIPAL SERVICE DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Monroe County Municipal Service District requires
the use of the property located on Long Key generally known as
the Long Key Dump area for solid waste disposal, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statutes 125.38 Monroe County
is authorized to transfer to other governmental units or organi-
zations property for the purpose of promoting community interest
and welfare, and
WHEREAS, it is determined that said property is required
for use as a solid waste disposal location and is not needed for
other County purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that a nominal value of
One Dollar ($1.00) is reasonable for this conveyance, and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Municipal Service District has
requested the transfer be made and that the use of the property
shall be for solid waste disposal and other Municipal Service
District activities, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized
to execute said Deed providing for the transfer of property from
14onroe County to the Monroe County Municipal Service District for
the sum of One Dollar ($1.00), said property shall be used for
solid waste disposal and other activities of the Monroe County
Municipal Service District.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 21st day
of October, 1980.

the State of Florida, party of the first part, and the MONROE
COUNTY MUNICIPAL SERVICE DISTRICT, party of the second part,
WITNESSETI-I, that the said party of the first part, for and
in consideration of the sum of $1.00 and other good and valuable
considerations to it in hand paid by the party of the second part,
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained and
sold to the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns for-
ever, the following described land lying and being in Monroe County,
Florida:
A tract of land in a part of Government Lot 2, Section
4, T. 65 S., R. 35 E., and a part of Government Lot 35,
Section 33, T. 64 S., R. 35 E., being on Long Key, c

the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1; from said POINT
OF BEGINNING, bear North 35 degrees and 26 minutes East
and parallel with U. S. Highway No. 1, 1600 feet to a
Point of Curve, said curve having a central angle of
14 degrees and 49 minutes and a radius of 2964.93 feet;
thence along said curve, concentric with the centerline
of U. S. Highway No. 1 and 100 feet from same and
bearing -Northeasterly and deflecting to the right,
653.52 feet to the Southwesterly Corner of the Southern
Bell and Telegraph Company Property as described in
Official Record .Book OR 281-538-539; thence bear North
41 degrees, 27 minutes and 17 seconds West, along the
West Line of the Southern Bell Property, 100 feet;
thence bear North 48 degrees,-32 minutes and 43 seconds
East, along the North Line of the Southern Bell Property,
50 feet; thence bear South 41 degrees, 27 minutes and
17 seconds East, along the Easterly Line of the Southern
Bell Property, 100 feet to a point on a curve, said
point being the Southeasterly Corner of the Southern
Bell Property and being 100 feet radially from the
centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1; thence bear North-
easterly along said curve, deflecting to the right
and concentric with the centerline of U. S. Highway
`No. 1, 63.21 feet to a Point of Tangent; thence bear
North 50 degrees and 15 minutes East, parallel and
