RESOLUTION NO. 333_ 1980
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA
TO EXECUTE A SIGN LEASE BY AND BETWEEN THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA
AND THE HERTZ CORPORATION FOR INSTALLING A SIGN AT
THE KEY WEST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute a
Sign Lease by and between the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, and The Hertz Corporation, copy of same
being attached hereto, for the purpose of installing a sign at
the Key West International Airport.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 2nd
day of December 1980.

IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants, promIses
and prenu:,es herein contained, the parties hereto agree as
follows;
Section 1.
Description of Premises and Use.
Lessor
hereby leases to Lessee and Lessee hires Cram Lessor for the
purpose of installing one (1) sign as hereinafter described at
the Key I'iest International Airport owned and operated by th,-

Section 2.
Term of Lease.
This lease sh:11] be' .1
on the 1st day of November, 19S0 and shal ~ CIlll on October 31,
1981.
Section 3.
j{ent.
The Lessee shall P;]Y to the
Lessor the total rent for the term of this lease Seven lIundred
Twenty 'Dollars ($720.00), in lawful money of the United States
of America plus any sales tax in advance upon execution of this
lease.' If Lessee terminates this lease prior to the end of the
terni hereof, Lessee shall not receIve any refund.
Section 4.
Sign.
The Lessee 1S hereby granted the
right tu insta~] one (1) sign, two feet high by three feet wide,
(2'. X 3' J, in the areas as stated in Section 1.
The Lessee shal:
submit .to the Lessor a detailed drcl\ving of the sign setting
forth all h'ording to be placed on the Sign includil;g r;iaterial to
be:. llsed i 11 the construction thereof, colors, and any other matter
relating thereto [or approval hy the Lessor prIor to installation
of same. The sign shall be constructeu III a professional manner
and installed at the location desi!.;natcd herein ill accordancc with

the, instructions of Lessor.
Section 5. Maintenance.
The Lessee shall maintain
the. sign in good order at all times during the term of this
lease and if Lessee fails to do so, Lessor shall give Lessee
tenr(IO) days notice of this failure to comply and upon Lessee's
failure to comply in maintaining said sign, Lessee does hereby
give, grant, and authorize the Lessor to remove said sif,n at
Less~e's expense.
Section 6. Waste and Nuisance Prohibited. Lessee
shall not commit or suffer to be committed any waste in the
dem~sed premises or any nuisance.
Section 7,
Taxes. Lessee shall pay, before delinquent,
all personal property taxes assessed against said sign.
Section 8. Termination and Repairs. Lessee shall at
the termination of this lease remove any sign installed hereunder
immediately upon termination and shall repair any damage caused
by said removal.
If Lessee fails to remoVe said sign upon termin-
ation of this lease, Lessee does hereby give, grant, and authorize
the Lessor the right to remove said sign in behalf of ~essee at
Lessee's expense.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused these
