RESOLUTION NO. 349 -1980
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN THE COUNTY
OF MONROE, STATE OF FLORIDA, AND THE OFFICE OF
THE MONROE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute a Contract
by and between the County of Monroe, State of Florida, and the
Office of the Monroe County Tax Collector, a copy of same being
attached hereto.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 16th day
of December, 1980.

CONTRACT
THIS AGREEMENT made entered into this 16th
day of
December
, A.D., 1980 by and between the
County of Monroe, State of Florida, and the Office of the

Monroe County Tax Collector.
The parties mutually agree as follows:
1. That the Office of the Monroe County Tax
Collector shall fulfill the Collection duties required by
the Monroe County Code of Ordinances Chapter 8 Art II
as amended with reference to the Collection of the special
assessment for garbage and trash collection and furnish
the employees necessary to collect said assessment,
and furnish such information as to said collections as is
necessary for recordation of claims of liens and delinquent
accounts, to include:
a. Up date addresses & owners. Thru use of
Monroe County property appraiser computer printing for
1982, garbage collecter billing roll.
If property appraIser
does not print 1982 roll then a manual up date will be
required which will be the subject matter of additional
negotiation.
b. Prepare Reminders.
c. Prepare Lien List.
d. Prepare Newspaper List.
e. Prepare Errors & Insolvencies List.
f. Post roll-paid items.
g. Post corrections to roll-adds & deletes; addresses.
h. Process complaints-field check.
1. Answer correspondence.
J. Collect money & depoist to MSD.
2. That the County agrees to pay to the Office
of the Tax Collector a total sum of $51,000.00 to cover
the cost of said service said sum to be paid in 4 equal
quarterly installments. This Agreement is for the period of
October 1, 1980, through September 30, 1981.
