Ordinance 020-1988 Monroe County Commission ORDINANCE NO. 020-1988 AN ORDINANCE OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 046-1987 CONCERNING MONROE COUNTY CODE SECTION 19-95 PERTAINING TO ABANDONED VEHICLES AND SECTION 19-96 PERTAINING TO ABANDONED WATERCRAFT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE MONROE COUNTY CODE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. Section One (1) of Ordinance No. 046-1987 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 19-95. Abandoned vehicles. Within all land use districts except I Districts, all vehicles which are inoperative and/or unlicensed for a period of ERiFEY ten (3Q lQ) days shall be prohibited on any public right-of-way or on private property except within a completely enclosed garage." Section 2. Section Two (2) of Ordinance No. 046-1987 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 19-96. Abandoned watercraft. Within all land use districts except I Districts, all watercraft which are inoperative and/or unlicensed for a period of EeR thirty (lQ 30) days and appear to be in a state of decay and/or abandonment, as determined by the code enforcement administrator, shall be prohibited on any waterway, shore, private or public property unless contained in a completely enclosed building." Section 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or provis ion of this ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of said ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict. Section 5. The provisions of this ordinance shall be included and incorporated into the Monroe County Code as an addition or amendment thereto and shall be appropriately numbered to conform with the uniform numbering system of the Code. Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect inrrnediately upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that this ordinance has been filed with said Office.
