Ordinance 027-1988 e...__ County Commission and Planning Commission ORDINANCE NO. 027 -1988 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 010A-1988, CODIFIED AS SECTION 2-6, MONROE COUNTY CODE, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THAT PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS ARE COMPENSATED AT THE RATE OF FIFTY-TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ( $ 5 200 ) PER YEAR FOR THE REGULAR TWENTY - S IX MEETINGS HELD DURING SUCH YEAR AND THEN COMPENSATED AT THE RATE OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) PER MEETING FOR ALL SUBSEQUENT MEETINGS, ALL REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE COMMISS ION IS MEETING AS THE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY, THE ZONING BOARD, THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OR AS THE PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENCING WITH THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1986 AND FOR EVERY FISCAL YEAR THEREAFTER; REPEALING THE REQUIREMENT THAT COMPENSATION IS ONLY PAYABLE OUT OF STATE FUNDS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; 'PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION INTO THE MONROE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Section 1. Ordinance No. 010A-1988, codified as Section 2-6, Monroe County Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2-6. Planning Commission members - compensation. Pursuant to the authority of Sec. 4-102(D)(2), Monroe County Land Development Regulations, the members of the Planning Commis- sion shall be compensated at the rate of $5,200 for the regular 26 commission meetings during the year commencing with the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 1986 and for every fiscal year thereafter, regardless of whether the commission is meeting as the local planning agency, the Zoning Board, Board of Adjustment, or Planning Commission. For all commission meetings subsequent to the regular 26, members shall be compensated at the rate of $100 per meeting also without regard as to whether the Commission is meeting as the local planning agency, the Zoning Board, Board of Adjustment, or Planning Commission. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to restrict payment to the members for expenses payable as authorized by F.S. 112.061. Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or provision of this Ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. Section 4. The provisions of this Ordinance shall be included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the County of Monroe, Florida, as an addition or amendment thereto, and shall be appropriately renumbered to conform to the uniform numbering system of the Code. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that this Ordinance has been filed with said Office.
