A Special Meeting ofthe Monroe County Board of County Commissioners
convened at 5:01 P.M., at Key Largo Library. Present and answering to roll call were
Commissioner Charles "Sonny" McCoy, Commissioner Sylvia Murphy, Commissioner
George R. Neugent, Commissioner Dixie M. Spehar and Mayor Mario DiGennaro. Also
present at the meeting were Thomas Willi, County Administrator; Danny L. Kolhage,
Clerk; Isabel C. DeSantis, Deputy Clerk; County Staff, members of the press and radio;
and the general public.
ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS, DELETIONS
There were no Additions, Corrections, or Deletions made to the agenda. Motion
was made by Commissioner Spehar and seconded by Commissioner Neugent granting
approval ofthe Agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC HEARING - BUDGET
Tom Willi, County Administrator made a presentation of the proposed Monroe
County budget for Fiscal Year 2008. The Board discussed the status ofthe general fund.

FIRE & AMBULANCE DISTRICT 1
BOARD OF GOVERNORS
The Board of Governors for the Fire and Ambulance District I convened. Present
and answering to roll call were Commissioner George Neugent, Commissioner Sylvia
Murphy, Mayor Mario DiGennaro, and Councilman Clark Snow - (alternate). Absent
were Mayor Norman Anderson and Vice Mayor William Dilley.
Cindy Lawson, CPA representing the Office of Management & Budget
announced the tentative roll-back millage rates and percentage increase over roll-back
rate for Fiscal Year 2008. Said document is incorporated herein by reference.
A Public Hearing was held concerning the tentative Fiscal Year 2008 budget for
the Fire & Ambulance District I Board of Governors. There was no public input.
There being no further business, the meeting of Board of Governors for the Fire
and Ambulance District I, was adjourned.

present.
Cindy Lawson, CPA representing the Office of Management & Budget

A Public Hearing was held concerning the tentative Fiscal Year 2008 budget and
millage rates for Monroe County.
The Board accepted public input with the following individuals addressing the
Board: Sue Heim, Pauline Klein, D. A. Aldridge, and Pam Martin, representing the
AARP.
Tom Willi, County Administrator announced the following public hearing date
for adoption of Monroe County's Fiscal Year 2008 Budget:
September 21, 2007 - 5:05 P.M., Marathon Government Center, 2798 Overseas
Highway, Marathon, Florida.
There being no further business, the meeting of the Board of County
Commissioners was adjourned.
