AGENDA ITEM WORDING:
Approval to utilize professional accounting services of Bishop, Rosasco & Co. to assist the County with
financial/consulting services concerning budget reductions for FY 08 and FY 09 on an as needed basis
and approval to waive the County's Purchasing Policy.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
During the FY 07-08 budget preparation, the County utilized the professional accounting services of
Bishop, Rosasco & Co. to review and assist with the preparation of financial and budgetary reports,
support for compliance with State or Florida Truth in Millage (TRIM) requirements and other
financial/consulting services as requested with a cost not to exceed $24,000 which is within the
Administrator's purchasing authority level. Their services are further needed to assist with ongoing
budget reductions. Since they are experienced and very familiar with the County's finances, it is being
requested that we continue to utilize their services.
