OF THE MONROE COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Board of County Commissioners
Friday, November 21, 1997
Key West, Florida
A Special Meeting of the Monroe County Board of County
Commissioners convened at 9:00 a.m., on the above date, at the
Harvey Government Center at Historic Truman School. Present and
answering to roll call vote were Commissioners Wilhelmina Harvey,
Keith Douglass and Mayor Jack London. Absent were Commissioners
Shirley Freeman and Mary Kay Reich. Also present were Danny L.
Kolhage, Clerk; Stuart G. Schurr, Assistant County Attorney;
James Roberts, County Administrator; County Staff, members of the
Press and Radio and the general public.
All stood for the Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS, DELETIONS
There were no Additions, Corrections and Deletions to
the Agenda.
SPECIAL MEETING
Motion was made by Commissioner Harvey and seconded by
Commissioner Douglass to adopt the following Resolution
confirming and implementing the vote of the Board of County
Commissioners at its November 12, 1997, meeting to remove Bettye
Chaplin from her appointed position as a Planning Commissioner,
based upon the determination that cause exists for her removal.
Motion carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION NO. 454-1997
See Res. Book No. 136 which is incorporated herein by reference.
Motion was made by Commissioner Harvey and seconded by
Commissioner Douglass granting approval of Commissioner Harvey's
appointment of D. Sullins Stuart, III replacing Bettye Chaplin on
the Monroe County Planning Commission. Roll call vote was
unanimous.
There being no further business to come before the
Board, the meeting was adjourned.
