Hanc~ Deputy Clerk CY - DATE: June 24, 2002 At the July 17, 2002, Board of County Commissioner's meeting the Board granted approval and authorized execution of the following: Contract Agreement between Monroe County and Spirit Marine Towing & Assistance for the removal of marine debris/derelict vessel located off of the bay side of Marathon, Monroe County. Contract Agreement between Monroe County and American Underwater Contractors, Inc., for the emergency repairs to Tavernier Creek channel markers. /Contract Amendment between Monroe County and Arnolds Auto & Marine Repair, Inc., for the removal of derelict vessels Zone 1-2002. Cc: County Administrator w/o documents Growth Management w/o documents County Attorney Finance File / CONTRACT AMENDMENT THIS AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT is made and entered into this /1 bit day of -J VI.-. 'I 2002, between the County of Monroe, hereafter County, and Amolds Auto & Marine Repair, Inc., hereafter Contractor, in order to amend the agreement between the parties dated January 17, 2002 a copy of which is attached to this amendment. The County and Amolds Auto & Marine Repair, Inc., amend section 2 ofthe January 17, 2002 agreement as follows: 2. The work performed under the Contract shall commence immediately from the date Liaison provides the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed by October 15,2002. 3. The Board shall pay the Contractor $44.52 per linear foot for the removal and legal disposal of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission marked derelict vessels. Payment will be upon completion of work by the Contractor and review and approval by the Marine Projects Coordinator. One partial payment will be allowed during the Contract period. Monroe County's performance and obligation to pay under this agreement is contingent upon an annual appropriation by the BOCC.
