AGENDA ITEM WORDING:
This is a TEFRA federally mandated public hearing of the Industrial Development
Authority as required by Fedaral law for the purpose of providing the public an
opportunity to discuss issues concerning the Wesley House financing.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
The Wesley House has requested the IDA to act as the conduit for financing for its
physical expansion. A review by the County's financial advisor has found no apparent
problem with the County's participation. The inducement resolution approving the
issuance of the bonds and the project. The passing of a bond resolution approving the
issuance of the actual bonds and various documents will be on the 6/14/00 agenda.
The above is on the advice of bond counsel.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
On 4/19/00 the IDA gave its approval to advertise for this public hearing.

Public notice is hereby given that the Members of the Momoe County Industrial
Development Authority will hold a public hearing in the Key Largo Library in the Tradewinds
Shopping Center, U.S. Highway One, Key Largo, Florida, 33037 during a meeting COIDIDCDcing
at 5:01 p.m. on May 17, 2000, or as soon tOOreafter as possible, on the proposed issuance by the
Authority of its Industrial Developll1ent Revenue Bonds (Wesley House Community Center, Inc.
Project) Series 2000 (the "Bonds"), in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $1,000.000.00,
for tbe purpose of providing a loan to Wesley House Community Cc:ntcr, Inc. (the "CoIpOration"),
to finaxJce the acquisition, restoration and renovation of the Corporation's social service center
located at 1300 Truman Street in Key West, Florida and to refinance debt of the Corporation
incurred for such purposes. All facilities ~nt'..ed and refinanl',ed with the Bonds will be owned
and operated by the Corporation. All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing,
which will be the only public hearing held concerning the issuance of the Bonds. Any such
interested parties may at their option submit written comments to the County Administrator, Public
Service Building, 5100 College Road, Key West, Florida 33040, prior to the hearing. Written
comJ11P.nts should be received by the Authority on or before 5:00 p.m. May 16, 2000. Any person
desiring to present oral comments should appear at em hearing. If a person decides to appeal any
decision made by the Authority with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing,
he or she wiIl need to have a record of the p~ings and for such pUlpose, he or she may need
to ensure that a verbatim record of the pl'QC1"P.dines is made, which record includes the testimony
and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
