05/12/2009 Agenda AGENDA MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COpNTY COMMISSIONERS I Any person who wishes to be heard shall provide the Clerk with his or her name and residence and the agenda item on which he or she wishes to be heard. Such information shall be on a card provided by the County. Once public input begins, there will be no further speaker cards allowed to be submitted to the Clerk for that subject. An individual has three minutes and a person representing an organization has five minutes to addtess the Board (except that individuals wishing to speak during public hearings pertaining to land use issues will have five minutes). The first person representing the organization will be all()wed the five minutes. Subsequently, all other speakers on behalf of that organization have three I minutes to address the Board. Once an individual has addressed the Board, he or she will not ~e permitted to return to the podium for follow-up comments, unless the issue involved is qu~si judicial in nature. In that case, the applicant may return to the podium to conclude his or her position at the end of the public hearing. Please note that all time approximate iltems are listed in bold. Monroe County/Naval Air Station Key West Joint Meeting May 12, 2009 2 Page NOTICE OF BOCC SPECI4\L MEETING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN that the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, will hold a special meeting on May 12, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in Harvey Government Center, 1200 Truman Avenue, Key West, Florida regarding OPERATIONAL ISSUES AT THE NAVAL ^-IR STATION KEY WEST THAT HAVE GENERATED NOISE COMPLAINTS and any other matter which may come before the Board. The purpose of the meeting is for discussion between the Board of County Commissioners and the Naval Air Station Key West regarding operational issues that have generated noise complaints. The public is further advised that some or all of the members of municipal governing bodies and special district Board members and or Committees may attend the meeting to discuss these issues. Any other subjects which may be added to the special meeting will be subject to the customary rules regarding action/speakers allowed, and no action/no speakejrs: The public should check the County website regularly to see if any agenda items are added, and if they do not pertain to potential legislation and are noted as workshop items, speakers will ~t be allowed.
