Bryan Davission has been employed with Monroe County for three (3) years. He
has demonstrated his skill numerous times during this period and has continued
to grow professionally in his position. His knowledge of Geographic Information
Systems has allowed the Division to better define our County wide
characteristics. Most recently he has had a significant role in satisfying data
requests from the Florida Department of Community Affairs, the Florida
Department of Environmental Protection and the South Florida Regional
Planning Council for the purposes of better defining hurricane evacuation and
clearance times. He continues to be the lead in designing a querying system to
define build out for the Florida Keys based on carrying capacity study limiters.
However, it is his most recent accomplishment that has garnered his nomination
for Employee of the Month. Monroe County contracted the development of an
enterprise GIS which included a web based application for serving county wide
geographical data. The total sum of the contract was just shy of $100,000.00.
Throughout the last two (2) years the equipment, software and application have
performed well and become a daily dependency in the performance of Growth
Management duties. Approximately 1 month ago the platform failed and could
not be restored. Bryan re -built the web application from scratch in two (2) days
time with better performance than was originally delivered. He continually
delivers these kinds of results and deserves recognition for his efforts.
