AND MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA This Amendment No. 1 (Amendment) to the agreement between the parties dated November 19,2008, (Agreement) is made and entered into this 20th day of May, 2009 by and between Monroe County (County) a political subdivision of the State of Florida and James F. Murley, Esq. (Consultant). WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the parties desire to clarify the scope of services; NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: 1. All references to the "Sustainable Florida Keys Working Group" are deleted and substituted with the term "expert panel". 2. Section 1. Scope of Services shall read as follows: Consultant shall provide county services in the area of protecting environmentally sensitive lands in Monroe County by completing the following: (a) identifying individuals for an expert panel with knowledge about the subject matter who are demonstrated experts and key individuals able to evaluate the initiative known as "Planning the Balance" which makes recommendations concerning the development and acquisition of land in the Florida Keys on a long term basis. (b) interviewing and consulting with these individuals to develop an appropriate strategy for land acquisition within the Florida Keys. (c) drafting a proposal and final report for the County Administrator and Board of County Commissioners regarding recommendations for land acquisition strategies within the Florida Keys. (d) assisting in presentation of the final protection strategy plan for the Florida Keys to the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners & the Governor and Cabinet of the State of Florida as may be required. 3. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect.
