RESOLUTION NO. 146 -2010
A RESOLUTION BY THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CLOSING THE EXTENSION OF
KAY DRIVE, NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF KAY DRIVE
AND AVENUE D, FROM 11 P.M. TO SUNRISE IN KEY LARGO
WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statute 336.10, the county has the
authority to close a street, alleyway, road or highway following a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, desires to close a portion of the hereinafter described street, alleyway, road or
highway, and
WHEREAS, due notice was published and a public hearing was held on
May 19,2010; and
WHEREAS, upon having taken input from the public, the Board of
County Commissioners finds it to be in the public interest to close the hereinafter
described street, alleyway, road or highway from sunset to sunrise;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT:
1. The entire extension of Kay Drive right-of-way extending north of the
intersection of Kay Drive and Avenue D and ending at the open water
on Key Largo is hereby closed from 11 p.m to sunrise.
2. The designated area shall be posted with the appropriate signage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of May, 2010.
