When the county applied for the grant to acquire native habitat on Big Pine Key, we anticipated the ability to utilize the properties for "H" as part of the Big Pine Key Habitat Conservation Plan. Subsequent to the grant award, we were notified by the FDOT that these funds could not be used for that purpose.
